• Message from the Editor in Chief


    I would like to thank the PagePress Editorial Staff for their trust by appointing me as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Public Health Research. Thank you for allowing me to serve with you for the developing of the Journal last week.

    I would like to begin this important assignment thanking also the Past Editor in Chief, Professor Umberto Gelatti, for the work done during his mandate, which brought the magazine to important editorial levels.

    I look forward to starting work for the Journal and starting the collaboration with all the member of the staff, with the Editorial Board members and the precious Referees of the Journal. I hope to be able, with their precious help, to make our Journal grow even more.

  • Forthcoming Special Issue - The Impact of COVID-19 in Higher Education


    The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is a global public health crisis. Globally, as of August 5, 2020 (3:00pm CEST), there have been 18,354,342 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 696,147 deaths (WHO, 2020). The COVID-19 is not only impacting health and economic issues, also affecting the education sector globally. According to the UNESCO (2020), as of August 5, 2020, 60.5% of the world's student population affected by school closures, 1.05 billion learners out of school, and 109 countries affected by school closures. The focus of this special issue is to capture the current scenario of COVID-19 and higher education. Proposals focusing on various types of data-driven research methods including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods are of interest. Case studies that are systematically conducted also are of interest. In addition, proposals should explicitly and clearly describe the context or setting of the study. The contributions of any topic of COVID-19 and higher education will be appreciated. [READ MORE]
